Rotten fascia boards, dodgy guttering, insufficient downpipes, punctured flat roof covering, repointing of ridge tiles - Jason fixed the lot. He overcame challenges along the way, an asbestos garage roof, brittle corrugated plastic roof panels, even the weather was against him at times but he persevered and I am delighted to now have sound guttering. He answered questions and explained what he was doing as he went. I always felt informed about what was happening. A very tidy, hard working and friendly person. Thanks Jason!

Jason recently replaced some leaking guttering, repaired damaged ridge tiles and slipped tiles on my roof. He explained everything and showed me photo's before starting and then again on completion. The work was carried out swiftly, efficiently and everything left clean and tidy. A polite, friendly, professional tradesman who mad the whole process stress free. Would highly recommend.

Removed Moss from both sides of roof and sprayed roof with an anti-algae solution, watersealed chimney stack and checked roof for any defects, Jason carried out the work to a very high standard and at a very reasonable price, he is a very honest and reliable bloke and kept us informed on all aspects of the work. I would highly recommend Ross Roofing.

I have used Ross Roofing at different properties for different types of roofing jobs. Jason is professional, working to time (weather permitting) and gives a clear explanation of the work carried out and if the work needs to be done now or later if at all. Jason send pics of the work before and after and is a clean worker. I’m happy to use his services again and will and has recommended his services.

Jason did some general roof work for us recently, re-rendering a parapet wall and repointing roof ridge tiles. Jason was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly.

I was very happy with Jason work as I had a botched job done previously and needed to find someone competent enough to fix felting drainage and carpentry as I had leaking felt flat roof that was leaking down in my walkway to my utility room and needed someone to repair this botch job and glad I found Jason who is the owner of Ross Roofing .Jason is very experienced at roofing and knew how to fix my roof with a new drainage system and repairing the rafters to hold up my flat roof and doing a more constructive solution to my felting that I no longer have a leaking roof . He is not only calm and very friendly but very knowledgable and you get an excellent job and at an affordable price with results that the repair Jason has done has fixed my roof due to his dedication in being a very good roofer .

Flat Roofs

Three-Layer Felt

Step Flashings & Soakers

Used where an angled roof meets an upright wall, the side of a house or extension. Separate lead soakers sit beneath each tile, while the step flashing covers the joint and is fixed into the brickwork, directing water down the roof without penetrating the structure.

Lead Valleys

Lead valleys are fitted where two roof slopes meet to form an inside corner. They carry rainwater down to the gutter. An essential part of the roof’s drainage system.

Parapet & Dormer Coverings

Lead is used to cover parapet walls and dormer roofs. Creating a continuous waterproof layer which can handle shifting and weather. On parapet walls, lead protects the top and sides from water getting in. On dormers, it makes up the main roof covering or detailed joins around windows.

Weathering For Flat-To-Pitched Joints

Used where a flat roof meets a pitched roof. Closing off the joint and guiding water away from it. Lead is laid over the flat roof upstand and built into the tiles or slates above. Creating a durable, movement-tolerant seal.

Fascias, Soffits & Guttering

We install Fascias, soffits, guttering, and downpipes.

Fascias

Fascias are the flat boards fixed to the roof edge that support the bottom row of tiles. They provide a secure fixing point for guttering. uPVC fascias resist rot, bending, and water. A long-lasting replacement for wood. They require minimal upkeep, don’t need painting, and give the roofline a clean, tidy look.

Soffits

Soffits are fixed under the fascia to cover the underside of the roof edge. They protect roof timbers from the weather and allow airflow into the roof space to reduce damp. uPVC soffits are strong, easy to clean, and supplied with built-in air vents.

Guttering

Guttering collects rainwater from the roof. Directing it away from your home. uPVC guttering is lightweight, strong, and won’t rust. It’s easy to maintain, cost-effective, and helps prevent damp, water staining, and damage to brickwork and foundations.

Roof Windows & Skylights

We fit Velux windows, flat roof skylights, sun tunnels, and lanterns.

Velux windows

Roof windows fitted into sloping roofs bring in daylight and air. Widely used in loft conversions and bedrooms across Chelmsford. Common in Victorian terraces around Springfield and Old Moulsham.
